Those Kosmos skies do look pretty nice in the video. Also, nice jazz tune in the background. What song and who was that? (Jazz is right up next to trains and trainsimming as my favorite entertainment.) Thanks.

Looks great. How do you get the textures to the distant mountain tiles?

Hi Andre,
that was done quite many years ago. With a small program I converted the vertex coordinates of the pictures into a MSTS marker file, inserted it in Mosaic, exported to Gimp the Mosaic textures with the marker dots, with Gimp I superimposed and deformed the pictures so that their vertices coincided with the marker dots and imported back into Mosaic the modified pictures.

Hi, Are MSTS skies now fully implemented into ORTS? I tried to use the checkbox "MSTS Skies" and the results are more liken to what ORTS did before Mr Murphey's work. I update ORTS every Friday so I have the most recent release.

Wonder if sunrise / sunset time can be modified via env file or not. I know some years ago it was no possible. What it the situation right now ?

Hi C490:
The "rdamurphy" fellow that was working on the environmental side of ORTS has gone missing in action. I suspect he has lost interest and moved on. No other developers fully understand "rdamurphy's" approach to the environment, so I would think that the current state ORTS environment is in, is what we'll have in ORTS for the foreseeable future.

Nobody knows ? Env.files integration is most missed feature for me.
I've looked at the code and it looks like the following .env file options are supported when you select "MSTS environments" in the Experimental Options:
- World water layers (height and 1st texture only)
- World sky layers (texture and uvtiles only)
- World sky satellites (1st and 2nd texture as sun and moon, respectively, only)
I've not checked, but that probably leaves loads of .env file features out, unfortunately. One of the problems is that for much of OR's development, we've built our own environment and this was added on later.
