Pacific Electric #966 is called upon to switch out the empty sand gondola at Ocean Park car house. This was, in fact, an occasional duty for the 950's, to act as switchers around the property.

This reminded me of a funny little piece of trivia. For a short while right before their retirement, the CB&Q used some of their doodlebugs as switch engines on branchlines. It's a bit funny when you think about it, because how often do you see Doodlebugs pulling freight cars? You don't really, do you? It's rare enough to see them pulling a trailer or a coach, let alone 3 or 4 boxcars. But I guess it happened, and it may have happened on other railroads, because I have seen footage of a Rock Island doodlebug working a local freight, so I guess it's not that unusual.

They look great, though that's no surprise. Where did you find these? Just checked my member page and didn't see them.

Hi Kevin http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif,

I think, this update was just released last night, while I where a sleep, so it brand new. The update will turn up on your Members page/Downloads before you know it, I'm sure of that http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif.

The best regards Claus

Carlo piqued my interest in the route Nodo di Roma, so my wife and I decided to take a quick trip to Rome to see the sights. We booked 2 tickets on the Frecciarossa (Red Arrow), a Bombardier high-speed bullet train.

Slowing down, coming close to our stop, Rome St. Peter's.

A quickie repaint test I dashed off for a set I'd like to complete (including a caboose) -- New York Central Pacemaker Service:
