I haven't made plenty of tests in order to find out from where is the cause.

Texture issues?

I take it you're referring to the "running red" in the black area, and the white around the cab? Does that stay "static" and not change no matter the camera angle, or does it fluctuate and kinda dance around like crazy? This is MSTS? (Not Open Rails)

Yes exactly. It changes according from the camera angle. In MSTS it is perfect, only in OR it shows like this. In order to explain further, what you actually see is the other side, imagine having a dotted alpha channel and seeing through. The locomotive itself is constructed from a lot of textures using alpha channels. I believe also that the textures were exported with Optimized Dither checked.

You say the model is available here? Download link? I'd like to take a closer look.

This is the alternative website where the original addons are kept.
MSTS Romania
Bottom list, CFR 50-852
Sorry about the "we have here" situation, i was referring to our romanian rolling stock.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded the model and took a look at it and its files.
The main problem I see is that the alpha channels are dithered. That's a no-no. Only the color channels should be dithered (when necessary).
MSTS doesn't show any problem because MSTS "alpha" textures get watered down to 4-bits of alpha. The dithering isn't enough to trigger a downgrade of transparency. But in Open Rails, which supports full 8-bit alpha, the different opacity is noticeable.
Additionally, the texture file sasiu.ace is all semi-transparent. Its alpha channel is not completely white/black as it should be. This will make any parts it textures look pretty funky.

Thanks Joseph for the clear information. I will take the locomotive into service and fix the problem.
