Cool, Rod! Oh, I forgot about the traction element. I'm going to have to do that! My instance of RW and Steam hasn't been working since after this session, for some reason.

Thx Rob and Tim for checking it out. It’s nice to finally be able to share the route with everyone.

Hi Folks,

INCREDIBLE PIX - WOW !!!

Hi Wayne,

You've released this route ? If so - I'll be loading up RW again this weekend... Where could I find your route - is it on Steam ???

Any steam locomotive recommendations ?

Thanks...

Regards,
Scott

I uploaded the route to the Railworks library here:

http://railworksamer...oute-collection

Its still a bit of a work in progress. I am still trying to decide what to do about steam loco's. Something light I think, since the route is laid with 100 pound rail - :-)

Hi Wayne,

Thanks so much for you efforts and sharing - I've been amazed since you started posting this fabulous route...

Kind of reminds me of the Yosemite Valley a bit (with more water) - funny Marc Nelson and I had chatted about the YV a couple times as he had a genuine interest in making it at one time (a long time ago)…

Been running Derek's mighty fine CBQ 4-6-0 a great deal in ORTS lately - I'll see if I can find something in that range for RW... A 10 Wheeler, Mogul, or Prairie would be perfect...

:sign_thanks:

NOTE: Just noticed your Prairie Saddle Tanker - again - posted on the previous page - PERFECT...
:)

Regards,
Scott

Scott, there are conversions of Tims models in RW, his L9 0-6-0 and the W 2-8-2 IIRC. I'm sure that he'd be willing to let more of his models make it over to RW if asked and the person doing said conversions was willing.

Then there's Smokebox's payware 2-8-0, an excellent model with advanced features.

Hi Jonatan,

Thanks so much - much obliged - yeah - I would be more than happy with any locomotives of Tim's I could use in RW - I know Tim let Rick Grout use his 060 in a payware product - I didn't know he had a Mikado over there too... I'll certainly look for that and your Smokebox recommendation...

Hi Rod,

Beautiful shots as always - sir...

Hah - Dick dragged me into this whole modeling and texture thing - with his fine "Brit-Kit" projects for MSTS - his was the very first model I painted - ever - after purchasing PSP...

Nice to see him still at it - they look great as well and vastly improved over his MSTS steam locomotives... While I have loaded and used DTG before - I didn't do much more than some basic testing and looking around so my learning curve will be steep - but Wayne's exceptionally beautiful route looks well worth it...

Thanks so much...

Regards,
Scott

Those Britkit logging loco's fit right in. I had them in mind when I was building out Ryan Creek. I plan to ( OK, maybe wishful dreaming ) extend Ryan Creek logging back into the mountains to make it a full fledged operating route.

A guy could work on a route like this forever I think.

Yes I have the BritKit logging loco and cars for a planned RedWoods country logging route in Santa Cruz in 1927 that is underway quietly. with Wayne's help:)

so glad to see the BC route having a chance to be seen and appreciated. Wayne has created another masterpiece ...and it a joy to see and experience his artistry and vision.

Very generous Wayne thanks so much

Hi Folks,

RW Newb...

I'm following Wayne's directions to the letter - when ever I run the RW "Utilities.exe" - I get the following error when close to finishing the load of Wayne's file.... Same happens whether loading his base file or either of the two updates... I am running "Utilities.exe" as admin... Any ideas ?

I haven't seen this problem before, but it seems to be saying that it is missing the PackageInfo folder in the Railworks directory. Check that you have this folder and maybe also make sure its not read only :

c:\Program Files(86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\PackageInfo

If you are missing the folder, try creating it.

If you do have the folder and it looks OK, then report back here and I'll think of something else.

Hi Wayne,

Yep - PackageInfo was MIA - created it - all three packages installed successfully...

I see your one scenario in Free Roam - selected same - "failed to load" - consist error - missing RWA flatcar, boxcar, gondola, etc etc etc...

Is the RWA pack mandatory ?

Almost - anticipation...
:)

Scott
