I don't think altitude is modelled in OR. The possibility of the 10% random affecting the uphill speed does not seem likely, but worth setting it to 0% to check.

Setting the adhesion random at 0% and factor correction at 100%, results in no speed loss on a 1% grade with 'Adhesion proportional linked to rain/snow/fog' checked.

With the adhesion random at 0% and factor correction at 130%, the speed was 49.5mph, from 55 mph on a 1% grade with 'Adhesion proportional linked to rain/snow/fog' checked.

With the adhesion random at 10% and factor correction at 130%, the speed was 50.5mph, from 55 mph on a 1% grade with 'Adhesion proportional linked to rain/snow/fog' checked.

Thanks

The 130% is the equivalent of the MSTS adhesion and from those observations it would seem that it is the cause of the speed loss rather than checking the weather box.
