Is the report saved somewhere?

The Debrief Eval report will be saved as the OpenRailsLog.txt file, on the desktop.
05/02/2018: File deleted because new code.

The RunActivityLAA.exe file was not included, to have a smaller zip file.

It is certainly very basic:
  • Station Arrival.
  • Delay.
  • Missed station stops.
  • Station departure before passenger boarding completed.
  • Work orders.
  • Over Speed.
  • Curve speeds exceeded.
  • Hose breaks.

The attached files are for testing purpose.(x.4043)

That is a nice report file.

Will their be Failed Progress reports when someone quits an exits the game?

Tried a switching activity but I don't know if this is a bug not related to evaluations but location events don't complete the activity anymore? A debrief evaluation only comes when the activity is complete but no location event activates an final stations completes it.

Edit: Appears ORTS doesn't allow the complete activity location event to complete with "Train Must Be Stop" checked.

I've pasted the shared files into the Open Rails X4043 folder.
I chose the original Activity from Hisatsu Line: Short Passenger Run.
I have marked the new Debrief Evaluation option.
In Options on the General tab, I have cleared the Large address aware binaries option
In the Experimental tab, I have marked MSTS environments.
After completing the Activity task, windows with debugging errors appeared.
But the file OR-DebriefEval-20180126.txt appeared on the desktop - no gold stars yet ;)

This is a Debrief Eval for Open Rails.

m61, I have now run a short test activity and my findings are basically the same as ATW's.

More information on the status of a completed or aborted activity needs to be added.

It should have a unique file name and/or folder location based based on the activity name and route and definitely not a generic name which is overwritten whenever another activity is run! Many users do keep these reports as a record of the activities they have completed.

Keep up the good work!

ATW.
All listed items are working for me.
It's necessary to check Break couplers checkbox, in Options/Simulation menu, for trigger it.

A Failed Progress reports when someone quits and exists the game, it's a good idea, but the current code can't manage this option. Maybe a job todo.
The priority now it's that all basic listed items work correctly for all users.

ATW. A debrief evaluation only comes when the activity is complete but no location event activates an final stations completes it.

You are right. Please try the attached new code.

m61. After completing the Activity task, windows with debugging errors appeared.

Issue solved, for a Work orders tasks zero count.

dforrest. Many users do keep these reports as a record of the activities they have completed.

Now we are testing this initial code and collecting suggestions. I think that until the report file was not consolidated, it would be better to continue deleting this generic file.

The attached files are for testing purpose.(x.4043).

Activity with events for Train to be stopped to complete activity still appears to not work as well as time limit events (time expired). Default activity "Setting Out Westbound Pickup" is the example in many ways trying to complete activity but no message displayed of completion into track 8.

I can confirm Curve Speeds, Coupler an Hose breaks work. I did an activity before that had many curve speeds exceeded, coupler hose breaks an close to the end I saved it before completion spot where I known I would get sim crashes. Now with these exceeded running straight through I got debriefed with the bad I done finely lol. So evaluation ratings is known to reset after reloading from a save where all the speeds exceeded an breaks of hoses an couplers are eliminated where someone can really cheat back to 5 stars when coming close to completion by saving an reloading. So maybe like MSTS the evaluation should be stored in the F1 menu as well telling what incidents has already occurred as far as Durability ratings an speeds?

One other thing that has not shown in the evaluation yet are the "Emergency/Penalty Actions Evaluation:" events. Still a work in progress?

Couple of small suggestions:

May there be a evaluation on distance traveled as well as total fuels burned?

This is a great start for evaluation, thanks for working on it!

Yes, it's a work in progress.

Distance traveled and remaining fuel are added, for the moment, in the information section.

Added a new item in the evaluation list: "Work orders Evaluation".
Now the stars symbols are shown.

The debrief data save option, for a not ended activity, requires to rework the code, but it makes sense to do so.

Thanks, it's a work in progress step by step.
