Using the vacuum brake for a diesel engine, i cannot get the engine brake to function.
Is this a limitation with the vacuum system ?
The diesel engine in question is dual braked, but i have two seperate ENG files for air and vacuum!
I'm also assuming that the vacuum exhasters are not implemented for diesel engines ?
Thanks

Vacuum brake systems in MSTS never had an engine brake either. I am using the handbrake to mimic the engine brake until a proper fix can be implemented. This shortcoming along with exhausters for vac braked diesels and electrics is something that needs to be added at some point as does the possibility of having dual braked eng files. I think that the way forwards now is to generate a blueprint for possible future inclusion.

I couldn't remember if the engine brake worked in MSTS under vacuum. I did use the air brake to mimic the vacuum brake using the cab vacuum dials in MSTS.
Good thinking about the hand brake.
Edit
Can the hand brake be used as a lever ?
I'm currently using the dynamic brake as the engine brake via a lever.
Thanks

Anybody have an idea how to setup dual-braked engine (air and vacuum)
..?? Or can we have it added as new feature...??
