At the end of paragraph 8.1 of the manual it is written:
"If the Brake Pipe Charging Rate (PSI/Second) value is set to 1000, the pipe pressure gradient features will be disabled and will also disable some but not all of the other new brake features."
However this didn't was available up to now, because the check in the software required a value greater than 1000, which however was outside of the allowed range of entry values.
This has been corrected with release x.3218 and provides as a gift - when you set Brake Pipe Charging Rate to 1000 in the general options menu page - a MSTS-like fast brake release (for real beginners).
