Hi there,
I have a little problem with my Open Rails.
I wanted to go away by the Steadler GTW today made by Sjoerd Lafeber.
I started Open Rails and wanted gas. This unfortunately not worked and the train went very weird and ended in an error (see screenshot).

It comes to this train: http://forum.treinpu...=view;down=1783
Does anyone know what I can do, or can anyone solve/find out.

Best regards,
Maico Zeeman

PS: I also have my Open Rails log stamped.

Problem verified.

I have downloaded the train set and experienced the same CTD when I tried to drive.

My Route is different from Yours, so it seems to be a wrong train parameter.

According to the logfile something is wrong with a coupler value.

I do not know enough about this to help You out. We will have to wait for the experts to help us here.

It would be easier to analyze if you would post a download of the ENG file.

Other than the Name, Description, and EngineOperatingProcedures parameters being out of place I see nothing wrong with the eng file. Try replacing it with this one.

Just noticed something in the Coupling section: CouplingUniqueType ( "GTW" )

CouplingUniqueType –If a coupling has a CouplingUniqueType, it can only be coupled to other wagons with the same CouplingUniqueType

Does the rolling stock that is connected to this ENG have the same CouplingUniqueType? Try removing that line or just comment it out.

Hi,
The message is " Coupler overloaded".
The problem is with the Friction parameters in GTW1a.eng, GTW1b.eng and GTW1c.eng.
They are :

Quote

Friction (
327.7N/m/s -0,05 1.0mph 1.357N/m/s 1.92
5.1N/rad/s 1 -1rad/s 0 1
)

If the -0,05 value is changed to 0.05 (as in all the other vehicles), it works OK.

It's another of those little things that MSTS ignores!!

Cheers,
Ged

EDIT : Also applies to GTW_E1a.eng, GTW_E1b.eng and GTW_E1c.eng - apologies for the omission!!

Classic case of MSTS has the last laugh.
