Long story short, the command of ALT+P as of x2995 does not work anymore, which is the command to change precipitation between off, rain, and snow.

Works fine for me , I am using x3003.

For me also, I use X2996 and 3008.
Attention, if The simulator is stopped (as example by a message) and you switch on the rain or the snow, OR shows the rain or the snow, but it can't fall by stopped simulator !!!! perhaps your problem?
