I've followed this and could suggest maybe using Ctrl or Shift in conjunction with the arrow keys to activate movement?

Ctrl and Shift are used for adjusting movement speed, however, as far as I am aware, Alt is not bound to the movement keys, so Alt+Movement key?

Currently in passenger view, we can use zoom-in and zoom-out keys to move along z-axis of the coach, but I have trouble to find a good set of keys to move left-right, without breaking the current setup.

Well again, I'd go with Alt+left arrow and Alt+Right arrow. MSTS never used the alt keys plus arrow keys.

Ah, well in that case, with this being for the Passenger view, the Alt+Arrow keys can be replaced for movement if we are going to leave the standard arrow keys as rotation.

I would suggest "the more movement, the better" in regards to cameras. I suspect it is the final decision of the development team of how best this should be implemented.

I have not tried a 3D cab yet, but have I read into a question of if the camera movement keys should be the same among all camera modes? That doesn't matter much to me. The Alt key would be fine for Alternate camera functions, leaving the original MSTS movement alone.

While we're on the subject, the Headout and #4 views could benefit from additional movement ability as well.

Most times when using the trackside (#4) view I immediately switch to the free camera (#8) and get all the free movement I need.
#4 has a height change ability .... more freedom would be nice.

If the camera is going to move around inside the view, it should probably use the same keys as the free roam camera for movement and rotation. Also, it probably should not be associated with the code for a rotating, fixed camera, but we'll need a new base type for that (which might share this code with the experimental 3D cab view).

I will try as you suggested, since I am updating 3D Cab recently.

Thank you for your work
But it is better that the arrows keys keep their original functions and assign movement at ALT-ARROW
(move using Alt-arrow keys - rotate with arrow keys)
