low Frame rate on Open. rails. Rate Topic: -----

I have an older dell that with MSTS runs about 20 Frames but on Open rails with steam I get like 8 an real jumpy? Anything I could do to help improve my frame rates?

Have an OR run with a release higher than 2785 and attach here file OpenRailsLog.txt that you find on the desktop. It contains much info that can be used by readers of this forum to provide you suggestions on how to improve frame rates.

If you are using steam, you don't have open rails.
Open rails does not require steam.

Oh, I was under the impression he meant a steam locomotive, which tend to have a lot more polys and animations than diesels?

Perhaps I'm wrong?

I suspect you only have a 2d video card.
What is the dell model?
