Just an FYI, in case anyone wants to modify the smoke output on their DW locomotives...

There is a link in the blue box near the top of the DW homepage for "DW loco set updates." Clicking on this brings up a list of downloadable installers for some sets that automatically modify the smoke output for that respective set. Link is here:

Also looks like Scott is moving towards making stuff geared for OR rather than MSTS: "ALL NEW ACTIVITIES WILL BE MADE FOR USE WITH THE OPEN RAILS SIMULATOR PLATFORM. THEY WILL REQUIRE OPEN RAILS TO WORK CORRECTLY."

These values are pretty close to what I've already adjusted my DW diesels to.
They are good references and can be used for any diesel.eng file.

For whatever reason, it appears that those files have been removed from the DieselsWest website.

Hi Folks,

For the record - that DPU program Markus wrote to adjust the smoke for OR - works very well too... You can do an entire directory worth of ENG files in a few seconds...

Regards,
Scott

Those are just the replacement .ace files that Scott did years ago. The modified .eng file program for OR that was on the DW site a couple of weeks ago is what was taken down.
