I'm using X2751 and I've noticed than when you change cabs from one end of a locomotive consist to the other and turn it on a wye that the external controls don't follow. Such as, the three view follows the front of the train, two the rear, the four view follows the last trailing locomotive and the G and Shift/G commands are reversed.
Doesn't appear to be specific to any one route or piece of equipment.
Try this. Take two locomotives, coupled rear to rear, with or without a train. Turn the locomotive consist on a wye, change cabs, and try it.
It's like trying to steer a remote controlled car when it's coming at you.

I have notice that myself too but in activities with reverse points an if I go the wrong direction.
