Rohit,
the national translations of the strings are provided by volunteers speaking the related language. How to proceed is explained in document "Localization Manual.doc" that you find in the documentation folder of OR. So you or any other person speaking Hindi are welcome in providing a translation to Hindi. As Chinese already seems to be available, it would be a great feature of having also a Hindi version, covering the most widespread world languages (Russian is still missing).
If you have problems in starting the job, there should be someone here in the forum that can provide help to you.

If you need help, I can dig up some info I´ve once written down on how to proceed doing translations. It will be a slow job (I´m in hostpital currently), but it should all be availabe online somewhere. Only need to cope with my crappy connection.

I have just looked into the localization manual, and that seems to be a bit outdated.
1. First of all in contrast with what is written in manual, you don't need Visual C# Express 2008 for the task to be accomplished, because there is no longer the need for modifying the Options.cs file for adding a new language (section 3).
2. Download Poedit from here: http://poedit.net/
3. Not only the Source\Locales\Menu.pot file has to be translated using poedit (section 3), but all the other *.pot files too in Source\Locales subdirectories. You may omit Contrib only, because those programs are not directly related to the main program.
4. For updating the language file for yourself (section 4) there is an Update.bat script provided, you don't have to run Xgettext manually anymore.

You are welcome! When you are ready with the translation, feel free to post the *.po files to any of us developers, and we will include it into the official OpenRails releases.

Rohit Krishnan, I think this is an important contribution you are making and thanks for it. There seems to be quite a bit of MSTS interest from India, as judged from the files posted on trainsim.com Connecting the talents of Indian simmers with Open Rails can only be good for everybody!
