I suggest that a RailDriver section be included.

I agree with you. A volunteer is needed, as I don't know anything about RailDriver, except that it works with OR.

Carlo,
I just downloaded the most recent (2698) version. It's much easier to get around with page numbers.

I noticed that the Curtius-Kniffler equation (Section 3.1, around page 75) does not convert to PDF properly, using either Word's converter or Foxit's. I am guessing that the equation was created with MathType's equation editor. Currently, these do not seem to convert properly. (I have tried the Mathtype 3.69 version). If you replace the equation with one created with Microsoft's old Equation 3.0 version, it does convert to PDF correctly. I am attaching a .doc that contains the equation in Word format.

I believe that the description of the command to release the handbrakes (around Page 78) is incorrect. The "Keys" display in ORTS lists "Shift + ;" to release the brakes. Also, I do not see a mention in the manual of the matching command to set all of the handbrakes (Shift + '). Perhaps both should be in the sentence on this page:
"Pressing Shift+; (Shift + semicolon on English keyboards) will release all handbrakes on the consist as shown below. Pressing Shift+' (Shift + apostrophe on English keyboards) will set all of the handbrakes."

I see you have fixed the small text listings. There are still some that do not display properly around Page 156-7. The ones that you corrected have an extra blank line after every text line. I personally think this makes the text listings unnecessarily long. There is an option in the "paragraphs" setting in Word 2010 to remove the extra paragraph.

Cheers,
Sid.

Thanks Sid,
I will insert the changes in the next version of the manual. I don't have Word 2010, so I will check if I can do something with Writer.
I also noticed that I overlooked some of the remarks I received from roeter.

It's in the "Documentation" folder of the source code, see here http://www.openrails...ownload/source/

I recall that there were some recent comments that including the Manual in the Source made the download too large for slow networks - maybe it was recently removed.
I get my source downloads via the TortoiseSVN, and there is in fact a folder called "Documentation" that includes the Manual as well as other useful text files . Using SVN means that I don't have to get a complete download every time I update, just the changed files.

Cheers,
Sid.
