Hi Folks,
I've read most of this thread over time - and - I believe "Waiting Points" should work with the "autopilot" ??? If so - is anyone else having difficulty getting "waiting points" to work ? I've tried everything I can think of - no joy - I can't get them to work... I've tried them by themselves - near reverse points - near double reverse points - nothing... I'm using whatever the latest version of ORTS was last night...
Thanks...
:)
Regards,
Scott

Like player trains, autopiloted trains consider only waiting points linked to a signal (that is waiting points with a signal in front of them and with no switches or crossovers in between); "simple" waiting points are not considered, as they aren't by player trains.

Hi Carlo,
Another thought that came up while using your wonderful new tools... Would it be possible to automatically include a brief wait point when using reverse points in a path ? It just seems when a train has a direction change - its starting up a bit too quickly to be realistic... If this would carry over to the enhanced shunting it would certainly make creating activities a little easier - as it stands every reverse point I place - needs a subsequent waiting point right behind it... Just a suggestion...

Hi Scott,
currently there is a moratorium on OR changes, to get a stable situation in view of releasing OR 1.0.
Your proposal makes sense, although it would alter timings with respect to MSTS. However, if this is done only under Extended AI shunting, the problem should not be there.

Hi Carlo,
No worries either way - just figured I'd throw out ideas based on my work with the tools provided... Again - some truly amazing work on your part...

hello again
I wonder if it is possible to jump from one train to another? I mean, leave the train on autopilot and take control of another train.
