The "Simple Download" on the website gets more downloads than the "Supporters' Download" (860 v 451 in the past week). I've just updated it from v2194 to v2597.

I had some feedback from new users that there was a bug and, of course, they were right. There was a problem with showing rain which took 5 weeks to be resolved and many activities or route explores couldn't run.

I've chosen v2597 as it is two weeks behind the latest version, so any show-stoppers should have been identified by now.

Chris,
There were changes made in X2591 that prevented RailDriver from running. The problem was corrected in X2600 .

Thanks, Bill. Shows how tricky this selection process is.

I'll try again with X2600, possibly tomorrow.

I would suggest 2618. Between 2600 and 2618 there has been a good amount of bug fixes.

True, but each bug-fix can break something else. That's exactly the scenario we've had with v2194 which was a bug-fix that broke something else.

The idea of a margin (say 2-weeks) is that a show-stopper has had time to show itself. The alternative is to subject the latest release to lots of testing, which is what we shall have to do when we declare a version as v1.0.

I've put up v2602.

Takes me about an hour to build the installer and configure a virtual machine to test the installation, so perhaps I should do this more often.
