THe "X" upgrade numbers showin in "What' new?" on the main OR page are different from the number of the actual upgrades. Currently the latest listed there is 2567 which acually referes to X2585 on my system, which is the latest on the "Recent Revisions" page. Details are given for X2585.

Not sure what you're getting at, I'm afraid.

Chris:

1. Click on "What's new?" on the top-right corner of the Open Rails opening window.

2. Open the page http://openrails.azu.../code/revisions

Compare the revision numbering of these and the the revision number on the title bar of the Open Rails opening window.

That's expected and unfortunately unavoidable right now. There is no public view of the Subversion repository so it points at the clone in Bazaar, which cannot have the exact same version numbers. (I'm not pointing at my site because it provides much less functionally.)

I think James has addressed your query about version numbers, but I'm curious about what you see when you click on the "What's Changed" button. This is supposed to be tailored to each user giving a personal view of what's new to you.

Would you post a screen dump of what you see on this page, please (Send me a PM if you prefer.)

Thanks,

The "What's new?" link is not personal at all (for now), it's just a link to a webpage. If you're on the experimental build, it links to Open Rails - Download Code Changes and if you're on the nightly build (from my site) it links to ~twpol/or/trunk : changes (this is a Bazaar repository I maintain automatically from Subversion).

In the future, I hope to make it possible for the program to download the changes and determine which ones are actually new for you and show you that list.

Sorry, I was confused.

The top right corner of the Open Rails menu has a button called "What's new?"

The top right corner of the Open Rails homepage has a button called "Changes since last visit"

I thought you meant the homepage.
