x2585 crash when switching extended HUD Rate Topic: -----

When switch shift F5 Debug information no displayed and OR is crash.

Oh, looks like I made it crash when your performance counters are broken. I'll fix the crash but please check your log and fix the problem with the performance counters.

According to the instructions given at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956, you need the Windows Installation Disc. How are you supposed to fix it if you don't have one, for example windows came preinstalled on the computer?

Your OEM should have provided you with a recovery partition or installation media; either of these should have the files on, but I believe you may be able to skip that single step. You may not fix the problem as thoroughly though.

Okay, I'll have to take a look. One other question, why wasn't this a problem before?

This data wasn't collected previously, so there was no reason to notice any issue with it.
