Another little problem is presenting itself in the latest round of updates. Here's my old friend 2460 - notice the black bar:

Now here is the same train, same place but under 2566:

If you can't make out the first message clearly it says distance to water supply is 49 meters. Under Build 2566 the message says the distance to water supply is 38,593,832 meters. I make that to be roughly 23,755 miles, give or take.

Even if I cut off now and run for water I don't think my 2,500 gallon tender is going to make it boys! :bigboss:

US gallons are 'shorter,' too. Thus it takes more US beer to get you drunk, I presume? http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/cheers3.gifhttp://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/fiesta.gif

Cheers Judge Bazza.

Have you tried stopping short of the tower and checking for a read-out? Might be because you were in "forward" that it computed one revolution around the earth or something. Even then it's something on the order of 1481 km short, possibly accounted for by latitude and elevation.

At that rate, you'd more than re-fill your tender, just be sure your boiler can take lots of salt water!
(If so, then water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink!)

Right Cap'n! I'd have to have another couple Imperial gallons to make the full 23,775 miles. :) But the more beers the merrier!

And horrors! It is the same distance to get more coal! I may have to stop at several mines along the way! :bigboss: :)

Ah yes, the law of unintended consequences is alive and well in open software development!

I am having the same problem on 3DTS' Donner Pass "Last Run of the Cab Forwards". The "T" key works fine when there is no water source available.

This has been fixed in X2575.
