Hi. :bigboss: Firstly I would like to thank the Open Rails team for their incredible effort. Recently I've been trying to get MSTS run decently on Windows 8 (failed) and we are very lucky to have a viable alternative now.

Question: on some locomotives, when releasing the train brakes, the independent brakes release very slowly. Bailing off helps, but the release rate is still much slower than freight cars. I believe this is not prototypical behavior?

Example: Streamlines BNSF Seligman 2.0 any BNSF C44-9W or ES44DC
Counter example (with correct behavior): Streamlines BNSF Seligman 2.0 BNSF GP60

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I could not find anything on the forums or the bug tracker.

My loco's has had a too small
AirBrakesMainResVolume( 8 )
= 8 cubic feet (1 cubic feet = 28,3 Liter)
in the *.eng file
so the compressor has to release the brakes instead of the AirBrakesMainReservoir
I have change it to 60 cubic feet and the brakes releases much quicker

This behavior probably doesn´t at all have to do with the main reservoir volume, as I´ve also encountered it in locos with proper volume figures shown in ORTS' HUD. It probably rather about some "release rate" parameter set too low in the ENG file, but I have not yet been able to resolve it (admittedly, haven´t tried too hard).

Just for reference, however, I have also seen cars take a minute or so to release a cylinder pressure of 40 PSI in ORTS, while just the next car in the consist released within 10 seconds.
