I am fairly new to Open Rails and love what I see so far. As a programmer, I can appreciate the amazing work that has gone into this.
I am running x2360.
When I am running windowed (not full screen) and on the Work Order tab of the F1 screen, scrolling is not working. I have seen another post saying it did not work well, but on my system, it is not functional.
I can scroll other tabs of the F1 screen but the Work Order tab has unique behavior. When I click either the down arrow or the blank space under the scrolling thumb, the screen scrolls for an instant, but then snaps back to the top almost instantly. This makes the tab unusable, unless there is some work around I am not aware of.
When running full screen, I don't have a mouse pointer at all, so full screen is really is not an option
Many thanks,
John

I have had one or the other issue with scrolling too, at times. My solution was to simply revert to another version of ORTS in which I know it worked (I always keep backups of older versions I have installed, to be able to go back).
The problem here might be that, AFAIK, James (James Ross) is currently reworking the GUI and in this process something might have gone out of sync. Anyway, for others more knowledgeable than me, it would be good to attach the ORTS log file here and give some information on your computer system.
On a side note, James, how is the update coming along?
Cheers, Markus

As suggested by Markus, I will give steps to reproduce and a log. This is running on an HP Pavilion dv6 Laptop with Display driver Intel® HD Graphics Family version 8.15.10.2372 under Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 64 bit with latest updates.
The Log is attached.
Thanks again, John
- Select Marias Pass
- Select Whitefish Freight Pull
- Start activity as Windowed
- As soon as loaded, hit F1
- Click Work Orders tab
- Attempt to scroll
The Log is attached.
Thanks again, John

Could you provide a screenshot of the Work Orders display? I wonder if this got broken by the work-order-updating in X2330.
Slowly. :buffalobill: Mostly because I started working on one of the new features (for the new UI) which turned out to be a lot of work due to the way our current activity code works. Also because I've been trying to figure out a way to make the UI customisable, which is a massive can of worms (XUL? HTML/CSS? Just flexbox? Custom?). I did read the whole of the ETCS document (with only some skimming) and I think we can base parts of the new UI on it.

Hi James,
I know you are working on this. (I am using X2369) The most frustating behavior is when the Work Order list runs below the bottom of the F1 window - clicking at the bottom of the scroll bar doesn't work to get at the bottom lines. Also, trying to drag the window sometimes causes random jumps in the position of the window.
Good luck..
Cheers,
Sid.

Yes, the problem arises since release X2330. I'll have a look.

Fix introduced in release x.2370. However I have discovered a problem, that has been introduced with release x.2361.
In standard Marias Pass activities, all drop off events are "done" already at activity start, see picture for Whitefish Yard Switching:
Moreover, also from release x.2361, Marias Pass activity Building and Sorting Outbound Cuts starts with the activity complete popup window, see picture:

That's no bug! It's a feature for those who want to work less. :bigboss:  :D :)

I can confirm the problem (with X2360). Also, when 'Work Order' is selected the 'Help' box tends to hug the side of the screen and snaps back there whenever you click on it (just in case Santucci didn't fix that).
