There seems to be a difference between a US keyboard and an English keyboard. Can anyone tell me what the keystroke is for BrakeHose disconnect and connect on a US keyboard. Mine being English uses the # key, but a friend in the US has the \ key in his keystroke list, but it is not working. His # key is on SHIFT3.

Most of the keys are bound by the physical ID so they vary what's on them... according to the keyboard map, the brake hose key is (on a US keyboard) below Backspace and above Enter. Wikipedia shows as the \ and | key.

Open Rails automatically lists the correct key to press (according to the keyboard driver itself), so we'll need clearer and deeper diagnostics if you are having trouble with that.

Thanks for explaining the difference, now to find out why it is not working.

To get rid of the problem (amost certainly without diagnosis, however), you could simply assign a custom key in the options. Maybe, however, upon checking the configuration, an error will arise, so you might get some sort of a clue of what´s going on...

Cheers, Markus
