Hello all I am new to this forum.

I just wanted to share some formation rehabilitation pictures of trains made by Plasser & Theurer. I am a huge fan of such machines!

Please enjoy:

:) to ET, Erik :D

Indeed, these are fascinating machines. I didn´t even know they come from Linz, Austria, though Austria is my home country and I got relatives in Linz! :good:

Cheers, Markus

Hello!

I would love to visit the factory in Linz! Have you seen machines like this ones around Austria? If you have pictures it would be great!!

Thank you

If passed some of them a few time in the car, without camera or opportunity to take a photo of them. :)

Seeing one close up in reality would be a dream for me too!

Cheers, Markus

I've noticed that several of the pictures have been downloaded already. That probably means that it is only a mater of time before someone models this machine.http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/fool.gif

I know that on ts.com there is quite a host of MOW equipment for download, like multi-car rail grinders, welded rail transport cars with all the support equipment, even a "shnable" (which is really not an MOW vehicle.)

I honestly would love to see this trains for MSTS or Rail Simulator 2014! I would definitely pay for them! http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Just came home from a 3-day-trip to Munich (5 hours in car from where I live) and the first thing I´ll report here is that they had a massive (and by that I mean MASSIVE) chos with their suburban train network "S-Bahn". Some track maintenance work on the original line through town (partially underground), through which all S-Bahn lines seem to pass, made it necessary to re-route, cancel, split and what not some lines.

Anyway, in all that chaos, I was lucly to be stuck on a train for 5 minutes somewhere on the 6 track mainline to Munich central station and see pass by in succession...

...a train spreading ballast over freshly-laid panels of rail.
...a ballast regulator
...a ballast tamper ("Stopfexpress")
...a dynamic track stabilizer
...another ballast regulator

and some other MOV trains.

The train was, however, so packed I had no chance to grab a photo with my mobile. Heck, I didn´t even see all of the action, not standin right at the windows...

Cheers, Markus

Thanks for sharing Markus http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/sign_thank_you.gif

I just found this in my mail box from eurailpool:
The DVD contains a flash application explaining how the PM 1000 URM works and in the box there is a poster of the drawing of the machine..
