Hello,

I have downloaded the latest experimental version of open rails. My problem is that I have large grey squares in my sky. I am running the route Meridian Speedway, Activity LJA101.

Sorry, still learning what open rails is capable of. Also found out that hitting F6 does not produce any location labels, siding labels or station labels.

That looks like some textures of the buildings or whatever that should be adjacent to the tracks in the first pic (and in the background in the other shots) are not loaded. If you were able to show a shot of these scenes taken in MSTS, it would be possible to find out what type of content (single placed objects or maybe forest blocks) these are.

Pressing Shift + F5 a couple of times will give you the DEBUGGING HUD, which shows memory (RAM) usage and other computer-related info. Having a shot of this might also help a lot.

Cheers, Markus

I agree Markus, I checked all the shapes in the shapes folder. I found about 40 files which were Uncompressed and compressed them. I am presently checking to see if I have any shapes without ace files but haven't found any. I checked this activity in MSTS in Explore Mode and all scenery was there. however trying to run while NOT in explore mode, activity will not load and I get a message "Failed to Initialize Activity Header." You are correct in the grey squares are tree textures.

I'd guess those were trees that failed to load their textures. There might be warnings in the log file about that.

It appears to be just this activity. I checked 2 other activities and all scenery is there. I think my next step may be to rebuild activity in MSTS and see if this helps.

Thanks for the help everyone, but I just found out this route is incomplete. It seems it will involve a good bit of work to get it working right. I have decided to delete it and concentrate on the other routes (75+) and correct any problems they may have.
