Just to let everybody know that I did not give up and I may have a possible fix. The good news is that this fix cleared up Tim Muir's firebox issue on one of his locomotives. Instead of committing the fix, I will be uploading runactivity.exe which is based on V2325. Rename the original and replace it with the new file. This fix will be committed once I am sure there are no odd effects that were reported before. So please test it thoroughly.

As much as I would like to say that everything is fine, I can't. There are still issues.

As of V2327, this outstanding problem has been taken care of.

Does that mean, no matter which light tex I´m using, it should work fine? :whistling:

Hi All,
Should we expect differences in signal light glow size with different routes (or designers)? I find that the glow size is fine on Paul Charland's Dominion Atlantic 2 (DARV2) route, but it is too big on the Monon-16 route's signals. (V2326)

Cheers,
Sid.

Edit July 15/2014 - I should have posted my question under "Developing Features" under the Topic "Signal Light Issue"...that is the glow that I was referring to - thanks for the reply, copperpen.

The size of the signal glow light will vary according to the signal light radius in sigcfg.dat for each route. The closeup view of the signal is also affected by this. I an currently using a radius of 0.18 for signals and even smaller for switch and other smaller type lights. The 0.18 figure will make the signal visible at about 1.5 miles in direct line of sight.

If using the MLT style of siglight technology, the glow will be larger.

I would like to thank Edward for going after this bug with determination. I was to work with him on this bug, but a serious family matter came to rear its ugly head (again) and for those of you who are old enough to have ageing parents you will know exactly what I am talking about. So I must apologize to Edward on not following through some months back, but let us all give him the credit he deserves/wants for hunting this bug down!

Thanks Edward!
