I think this is a bug, but as in the last time sometimes I file a bug report that isn't that, I first post it here.
AI train 22 is created and after a short run enters a station where it has to stop. This station has no start signal (also in reality), because there is a second station less than a Km further, that has the start signal. Train 22 has to stop also at the second station.
So AI train 22 regularly stops at first station, restarts at the right moment, but then it goes on accelerating (his AI mode is RUN), even if Auth is at STAT and the start signal of the second station remains correctly at STOP. So the train does not stop at this second station, passes the start signal at full speed at danger and disappears.
Here a picture short before the point where the train should stop at second station

and here I attach the logfile (at line 860 the message related to train 22 passing signal at danger) and also checktrain.txt for such train.

Carlo,

thanks for the checktrain file - that immediately pinpointed the problem.
Patch is on it's way after I have sorted a few other problems.

It's not a tool - it is a debug-option within the code.
Default it is switched off, to set on it the code must be recompiled, also the AI-number of the train for which the information is required must be set in the code.
It dumps (and that's the right word) a lot of information on what an AI train is doing.

In this case, a particular message in this file just before the train passed the signal explained what happened - the train was 'confused' between the two close station stops without intermediate signal.

Rob Roeterdink

Should now be working correctly in version 2203.

Yes, that's solved, thank you Rob.
