Hi Folks,
RE: x2186
Just wanted to pass along a problem that started last night for me... I'm getting missing textures on rolling stock at startup... It's not consistently the same - sometimes the textures are all there - other times it's just the tender - other times it may be parts of the locomotive... I haven't changed anything with the setup and I've used this same test setup through countless versions of OR... I've tried other rolling stock and on longer trains 15 to 20 percent of the textures are missing - - - sometimes the whole car - other times just portions of it...
Regards,
Scott

Hi Folks,
OK - maybe it's me - I tried other locations and I don't seem to have problems... I've recently updated that area of the route - where I am having trouble - with 1024x1024 Tertex textures - maybe I'm overloading something ??? I've got a pretty decent machine though - so I'm not sure what's happening - - I'll test further...

Scott

Hi Folks,
Hmm - strange - it works fine in MSTS...
The only changes I've made in the area are:
I made some custom water textures @ 1024x1024 - only two water layers used...
I created around (256) 1024x1024 custom TERTEX patches in the area..

Scott

Pressing some times Shift-5 go some debug HUDs further until you arrive to the debug HUD and check if you are critical in memory.

Hi...
Thanks for responding...
I was working on getting that information together - when I think I figured this out...
As soon as I checked "Use the LAA Binaries" in the "Experimental" section - all my problems went away and I think it bought me about 30FPS ???
I am running Win7x64 but only just noticed that option...
I guess this is "RESOLVED" - operator error...
:cool3:
Thanks again...

In fact using the LAA binaries you get more memory available for OR :)
