Something I like to do every once in a while is to explore a route in an AI train (no Cabview needed in Open Rails). OR will warn there is no cabview, No Worries, just position the camera of your choice in a favorable position in the lead engine. The keyboard controls still work fine. You've got a great 360 view controlled by mouse or arrow keys. Best of all (to me) the cab vibrates, shakes, and bounces ( cntrl+V) as you ride along, like a BLW virtual cab. That's something I always thought would be a good idea, make the cab vibration apparent in the cabview, not just in the Head Out view. (maybe it does? and I don't know about it?) Anyway here's a screenshot riding down the Meridian Speedway. Using Camera 2 as the engineer point of view.
