Forgive me if I missed it elsewhere, but this looks like Montana, on the MRL! It also recalls portions of the old Milwaukee Road.

Very nice screen shots, there, M. I'd like to see more.

So powerful, or tankers are empty?
As before, very natural and colors are pleasure for eyes.
Thanks for sharing. The route is...

The tanks are loaded with ethanol and head to west coast ports from the midwest, often North and South Dakota. The route is Train Simulations Mullan Pass, and as per the prototype there are a set of manned helpers that are in place in the middle of the train to help get the train over the Continental Divide at Blossburg Summit.

Tim, ya nailed it. It is the 3rd sub from Helena to Missoula. Eastbound empty coal train leaves Missoula.

I bought a VHS tape for my late son many years ago, on the MRL, and I do recognize the scenery; The route looks great. Thanks a bunch!

I put together a train using just my hi-resolution cars - bit of a retrospective on several years of work.

Pullman-Standard.

Attached Image: 03.JPG
Two generations of covered hoppers - with widely different uses.

Attached Image: 02.JPG
I deliberately placed the venerable CP 40-foot boxcar next to the 4550cf cylindrical hopper that replaced it in grain service.

Attached Image: 01.JPG
I really do like the TS Mullan Sub!

View from a house near the tracks. THE END.

Those are some fine pieces of work, Eric. I especially like the CB&Q red-oxide PS hopper. And the caboose is the best! :thumbup3:
