How to remove the sounds of ambiance of OR? High volume of these sounds.... Rate Topic: -----

How to remove the sounds of ambiance of OR that you included by default? :sign_thanks:

OR does not have any sounds itself - everything is provided by the content (route, rolling stock, etc.). Can you be specific about a route and rolling stock and what your problem with it is?

It looks like you have rain or snow switched on.
The sounds you hear are related to this, these are defined in rain_in.sms, rain_ex.sms or snow_in.sms and snow_ex.sms in the SOUND directory of the MSTS installation.
Other sounds in the area may be generated by 'sound' objects placed in the simulator world. These sounds are either also defined in the standard SOUND directory, or in the SOUND directory of the route itself. You can check this in the route editor, where these objects are shown as yellow 'poles'.
So these are, as James stated correctly, defined in the simulator environment and not generated by OR itself.

Also there is the clear_in.sms and clear_ex.sms
