Just to check, are any of you using the MSTS Environments experimental option?

I tried it in the Thousand Island Railway (TIR) route - the clouds appeared to be rotated by 90 degrees, and then I got an error message and OR died. So I have left it off.
Incidentally, I get water flashing on this route between blue and brown - the whole surface of the water. This has always happened with OR on this route. I have an AMD HD7770 video card and Intel i5-3570 CPU.

Sorry, fixed.

OK. Thanks again, James.

The water rendering is pretty much fixed, except on the PE route. Now, this uses an animated top texture using 3DTrains' water aces, so it may have something to do with that. On other routes I tested using the newest build (x2031) the same textured water seemed stable. So, it's probably route-specific and since it's not a published route, the question might be moot. But in case there's others out there with the animated water top, or using the 3DT water aces, I'll go ahead and post pictures of what's going on.

At a high camera elevation the water looks great:

But drop the cam down a few feet the water top ace disappears:

On another route, Jim Bebenroth's Rocky Ridge, also unpublished, the same water aces work just fine. :sign_thanks:

I haven't been experiencing the flickering water, though, on any build.

Thanks again.

Hi Tim :sign_thanks:,

The water textures on the NP branch line still looks pretty messed up on my system, and the strange thing is, I somehow suspect the 3DT_Reflection.ace to be part of the problem.

This is the 3DT_Reflection.ace, or how it appears as a JPEG image.

This is images from the NP Branch in OR, and to me, it looks like the 3DT_Reflection.ace is being reflected on the water surface. I'm using 3DTrains Feather River environment in many of my routes, and that could explain why, I'm having all these 'water problems' :sign_welcome: :sign_welcome: in my routes, when used in Openrails.

It's running late over here, so I may have to take a closer look tomorrow.

Regards Claus

Hello!
I have a problem with water. It flickers blue and black. It became so when I downloaded OR_X ver.2027 today. How do I? Or you fix the errors?
