I would like to take this time to thank the ORTS team for all they have done rejuvenating MSTS/ORTS. Also I would like to know if 2D or 3D cabviews have been considered. Keep Up the good work !!!

Jijun Tang developed a preliminary 3D cabview implementation. Personally speaking, I am waiting very much he commits it to the code trunk.

3d cabview makes me excited. Now if only I was actually close to finishing my cab-forwards...
