First of all, thank you to everyone involved in the developments of Openrails, for doing such a great job with OR, the developments of the sim is amazing :lol2: :D.

I have a question about custom resolutions, and the possibility of adding some of the more commonly used to the options panel, on a permanent basis.
I'm using Railworks alongside MSTS/OR, and when a new custom resolution is being made in the NVidia control panel, it is automatically added as a useable resolution to/in the Railworks's settings.
I might be an oddball, but I never did fancy 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios in train simulators, I prefer 5:4 or 4:3 ratios.
Instead of having to tamper with settings and creating workarounds, would it be possible for the development team to ad some additional resolutions to the OR options panel/Video/window size.
I was thinking about the 4:3 aspect ratio resolution of 1440x1080, the 5:4 of 1920x1440 and the 16:9 aspect ratio of 3840x2160, (just to be able to try OR in that resolution).

Regards Claus

You can type just about any resolution in the box, although we currently forget about it next time you open options. :(

I'll see if there's a reasonably easy way to list resolutions.

Maybe the issue is unique to my computer, but when I use a resolution different than 1280x960, the exterior views will usually display fine, but the cab view is either oversized or distorted. I've tried playing with various OR settings, but haven't been able to solve it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi railguy :(,

As far as I know, theres no solution to your problem with the stretched/distorted cabview.
It's a side effect of running OR in 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios.

MSTS only supported 4:3 resolutions, so all cab views are 4:3. When you display it at something other than 4:3, the only options are to distort it, oversize it, or have holes at the edge. Open Rails defaults to oversizing it, letting you pan up/down with the respective arrow keys. You can change this in the options.

OR supports cabviews of any size or aspect ratio, I do mine at 2560x1600, ie 16x10, I agree though cabviews would be better and easier to do at an aspect ratio of 4x3 only hires monitors are not availible at these ratios.
