Wow this is amazing Dave!! The buildings are amazing and the track work is really well done as well. It is so cool to see this backdated version. I am sure you are aware that Josh and I are working on Chicago but modern day.

I have a HUGE aid in the form of period Sanborn Insurance maps. Scaled 50ft to the inch they're accurate enough to do building models and since they cover entire cities I have at my disposal an image of just about everything that was present in a scene. The problem is, of course, that just about everything belongs in each rte scene! IOW a whole lot of modeling work.
