Hello, I am having an issue on Mactier, Southbound Manifest Activity. The problem occurs at the siding at Bala. Player train takes the siding, waits for the AI to come and go, then after the AI has cleared and I get a green the train goes into "Emergency" braking. This occurs while ramping up the power through the turnout and a message comes up that states "warning-train not on original route" when I use the "Ctrl-M" command and the status point is RED in the track monitor box.
I have attached a screenshot, note the message and the status of the track monitor.
All I was using was the "D" key to accelerate, then halfway through the switch the brakes default to Emergency. I was also sounding the horn for the crossing with the "Space-Bar".

Any idea as to what may have happened? I looked at the OR Log, and it says nothing about the brakes being applied. :( ;)Attached Image: Mactier1.jpg

Decidedly dicey, considering the placement of the coffee mug! ;) Now I understand what brake lapping is all about.....hot coffee in lap.

Cheers Bazza

The screenshot tells release 1648. It is a quite old release. Try with one the latest ones, downloadable here

I had exactly the same problm earlier this year. It only arises if at some Point before encoutering that certain AI you had switched to Manual mode for whatever reason and had then been sent over a section of route, where also an alternative path would be possible. For some reason (ask Rob for more Details) OR than confused some paths, which were not the same anymore, thus generating the "not on original route" error and sending you into emergency.

The issue was fixed by Rob in about July, IIRC, so any up-to-date Version of OpR should work with it. At least I never had Problems like this anymore. :pleasantry:

Cheers, Markus

I have now downloaded the updated version. I will see if that works.

Thank you all very much for the suggestions.

You definitely have a way with words Cap'n. I wonder are you married? If so I think I feel sorry for your wife! :sign_oops:

Hey all!! The updated OR file did the trick, everything seems to be operating properly now. I got through the switch and I am merrily on my way!

Thanks to all for the suggestions. ;) :jumpy:
