Yes, leave it out. In Switzerland, the bulbs have two filaments, if the first filament is broken, the signal use the second and give an alarm to the station, for change the bulb. Signals far away from a station has a second red Lamp ( emergency red ) so a Signal practically can't be dark. Anyway before a dark Signal the driver has to stop and ask for further instruction by telephone or radio.

Personally, I like your idea. Just because it's not prototypical in Europe does not mean this is a feature that should be left out.

It would be prototypical for Europe too - bulbs can break throughout the world. But throughout the world it´s handled in so many different ways, that probably MSTS´s "solution" would be the most practicable one. Just (and I can fully agree to those who brought that up) it´s in no way near to anything realistic (although I would call it better than nothing). Anyway, as obviously some advancements from MSTS are required, leave it until OR is ready for it. Just like the slow orders :lol:
