So, Here we are :)

Finally I managed it to restore the "master" files for this guide (after my machine "hit the ground hard" some time ago), and also to update them (thanks to Chris Jakeman for his help with what´s new, what´s outdated).

OK, lost enough words, let´s see some Action :D

DOWNLOADS MOVED TO POST #6!

Questions, Suggestions, Complaints? Please comment! :)

Cheers, Markus

An engagement party - really good time.

Here is my feedback with some misspellings and perhaps a few errors too - see Notes on German Keyboard Guide.

My intention is that your work will become an official part of Open Rails and available via the website and included in the Open Rails download. If that's OK with you, we will want to store the source document (from which you created the PDF) in the OR SVN repository.

Thanks for your help with this,

Will send the powerpoints and the pdfs to you (upload here) as soon as I got them. Thanks for the Feedback, and I would enjoy if I could put more of my language Expertise to OR

Cheers, Markus

PS: No good time: I just updated things I already had, needed about 1 hour to do so. Thus, bad time :oldstry:

Ok, here we are again:

Attached File  Keyboard Layout DE V1.3.1e.pdf (468.57K)
Number of downloads: 475 (English Version for German layout)

Attached File  Keyboard Layout DE V1.1d.pdf (485.01K)
Number of downloads: 195(German Version for German layout)

@ Chris: Now everyting in English should be OK. Now I´ll just have to translate it (hopefully without typos, as it will be difficult to find somebody willing to check it if it contains some... I´m not a careful "typer", and also don´t find These Errors...).
Two more things: 1. As for the silly autocorrect thingy of PPT, I can correct the parenthesis as often as I´d like to, it always gets changed back, because PPT doesnt accept it if I set the dictionary language to english :/ 2. Thanks for showing me all These mistakes, that are also Syntax, word choice etc. Errors. Hopefully this will also help me to get better in english :oldstry:

Cheers, Markus

PS @ all: The translated Version is 1.1, opposed to the non-translated one, because there was no intermediate X Version of it. Both are the same, except for the language.

PS @ Chris: I will PM you the source files when both are done.

German Version uploaded too.

Your 2 keyboard reference guides are now on the website and the PowerPoints are saved under SVN.

Many thanks.

P.S. Now we need an up to date one for the US keyboard.

Do you mean me, or just generally with the US one?

I was asking anyone as we're open source and I don't want to ask for too much.

But if you are willing and have a US keyboard available, please step smartly forward and volunteer ;-)

Thanks,
