I found yesterday the best description of the 26-L brake equipment I have yet seen
There are 2 documents the first file is ip_074.pdf the second is IP_074-1.PDF

Note, capatilisation is different.

These are Instruction Pamphlet No 74 and supplement from New York Air Brake.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, While I am at it......... a good number of Loco Operater and Maintence manuals can be found here....

Just a question concerning your first post: are the names in bold writing ment to be links, or how was posting the nmaes intended? Entering the names into a search engine (not Google, couldn´t load it for some reason) didn´t Show any relevant entries (didn´t check all pages)...

Would be interested in extending my knowledge about the "internals" of air brake Equipment :D

The names were displayed in bold to isolate them, I used google to search for these names, first page had at least half a dozen sites, all pointing to NYAB site......

Try these.............

The first one (date 1964) does not have a working diagram of a Distributing valve, the second one (date 1978) does, otherwise the first is more complete.
