Nice shots on the "Route Which May Not Be Named" - at least in some circles (totally different story altogether).

Having said that, let me say that I have learned over the years to never say "never" or "always" when it comes to railroads and their operation but I think I can safely say that the Santa Fe never ran San Diegans with a single F7 A unit. There's a little thing about not having a steam generator on the A's, requiring a B unit for heating/air conditioning. That kept them from running this way even if they were only handling two cars! Single PA's yes, they had steam generators in each unit, but not so the F's.

Funny thing...Marc just PMed me about it too  ...I'll be taking them down...I really don't want to...I think the meaning should be worth more than the issue(s) behind it, but I respect Marc and his wishes...so I'm pondering a route to set them up on...anyway, thanks for that Herb...I think I'll do it again, but as an activity. any suggestions on a route?

I respect and honor Marc's wishes about not posting information or screen shots of that route on any of the forums but that doesn't mean I don't run it. I paid good money for it and I don't intend to stop running on it any time soon. Besides, Marc's F units and passenger cars and the promise of that particular route got me into this sim business in the first place. I am a San Diegan and love the old Fourth District.

Patrick Wise's Cajon Pass has the full Third District from San Bernardino to downtown LA. The Los Angeles to Fullerton stretch was stomping grounds for the San Diegans and makes for good screen shot territory. Be sure and install Simpson's scenery enhancement from Train-Sim.com. Here's a San Diegan on Patrick's Route.

Is the route still beta? Otherwise, if it's already released I would have thought the screenshots are good (free) publicity?

Cheers Bazza

The freeware Cajon Pass route is completed. The Surfliner route was a half-completed (Not-Beta...just half-a** done) payware route by a firm that went belly-up. (I don't want to step out of line here); but 3DTrains did almost all the work and never got paid. In short it was a popular route of a popular corridor...sadly thats only the beginning of the issues.
