Good afternoon!
I have made a question about this on another topic, but no one replied so I've decided to let these doubts here in seperate.
I have read many times that ORTS should work faster than MSTS, and it has way better performance than MSTS... Though I don't understand why is with my computer, that its exacly the opposite! :discuss_gathering: MSTS on my PC runs really nice, maybe at about 25 or 30 fps on more detailed routes... Then ORTS, it a luck to get it at around 12 fps! (I only get such values, usually, when only looking to the sky... ).
I am wondering if this has to do with the built-in graphics card on the PC or if its just some not well configured options of the graphics card... I know its not the best one too, though. My PC has an "Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family" graphic card.
PC's processor is an Intel Core Due @2.4GHz with 3GB of RAM.

I would love to run OR as fast as I do with MSTS... Could help me on this? Thanks in advance.

"Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family" That's why :discuss_gathering:

Intel graphics= junk :)

MSTS mostly uses CPU, OR uses GPU too.
Try disabling dynamic shadows.

Yeah, that's what I was a bit afraid of. I am aware that this graphics card is rather crappy.
I actually don't use dynamic shadows... Never used them before.
I think this is probabbly a bit of a stupid question, but is there a way for one to choose for OR use mostly CPU instead of GPU?

It is using that, that's why it slow. Those intel "GPU"s aren't real GPUs, as the most of the computations are done on CPU. That's why it's so slow. The only way you can improve, is using a real video card, even the cheapest is much better than the intels.

I see. Well, considering its a laptop, I guess the best choice should be buying a newer one, right?

Well, it will have to wait then. Although slowly, I still enjoy to play ORTS on my PC, at least to catch trains super-elevating... Its really nice. :sign_oops: Thanks for your feedback! ;)
