Hello all. I have downloaded the experimental release of OR, x.1502, and am having a bit of an issue. I cannot get the switches to throw. I have tried to throw the switches on the Cumbres Pass route, and Bob Worth's Raton Pass and it did not work on either route. The switches show up red on the F8 screen and will occasionally change to green but they still will not change. Has the change switch key changed from g to something else? I was going to try a couple more routes but the wife came home and was ready to start dinner.

I do like how this release will show the work orders generated by Skyline's Activity Generator. Also, the steam engine smoke effects are pretty cool. I like how the color changes now and it looks more like smoke. The team is doing an impressive job with their work!

You should switch to manual mode first with <Ctrl+M>.

G still works in explore mode, and in manual mode when I'm beyond the pre-defined path.

Were you in Explore, or an activity? Were the switches that you couldn't throw defined as part of the activity's path?

Had you enabled manual mode (CTRL-M) before trying to throw the switches?

Lastly... did you try throwing them from the external view using the mouse?

Ah thanks! I did not know that I had to use Ctrl-M. I did not really read any instructions so... eolesen, I was running a generated activity and then an activity that came with one of Bob's routes. Thank you both for your help. I will give it a shot.

Just got home and tried it and the Ctrl-M solved the riddle! Thanks again. By the way, has anyone noticed in the x.1502 release that the cow catcher on the K-28 and the coupler on Bazza's RGS caboose rotates around while you are driving? It's kind of funny to see the catcher just turn over and over in front of the engine and the coupler rotating/flying around the caboose. Again thanks.
