Hi'ya Wade, according to the only K36 plan I have (A4), the stack is 13 feet 4inches above rail. It stands taller than the cab roof, between about 6 to 10 inches. The smokebox center is 7 feet above rail. I can confirm, that on the plan drawing, there is a driver shown with 10 spokes. There are sufficient dimensions given to get the model's proportions close. I haven't tested the drawing's scale accuracy (HO) against my steel model scales ruler.

Will do, Bill, but at the rate I'm going, it equates with the movement of the glaciers.

From the size of the above counterweights you can see why there was a necessary speed restriction. Imagine the forces at work as those massive weights flail around at speed?!

My, errr, the K36's new wheelset has been bugging me....something wasn't right....so I searched, and I searched for an answer. And it was this - my driver wheel hub was too small in diameter. I fixed this problem with the usual good grace and biting of tongue, to produce........oh, heck, I've just noticed another detail to fix. I really need to pay attention. Here goes, render coming in due course.

I did the required repairs earlier this evening, then went out for supper with friends. We drove to the venue in a Lincoln Continental. Enough of limos, here's the rendered result of my tweaking, minus texture.
I'm satisfied with the basic wheel shape and respective counterweights. Now - the artwork and texturing will require patience and more tongue biting.
