Hi, just wondering when this will be implemented into OR.
I have a lot of deer roaming the tracks on my mountainous route and was just curious.
Has anyone even thought about this feature?

Just some thoughts on this...............
One of the development problems this raises is "collision detection" this is one of the more challenging aspects in developing simulations as an accurate collision is quite difficult to acheive. One of the interesting points of a train sim is in real life trains VERY rarely collide so one can safely ignore random collision detection as most that are seriously interested in train sims wish to simulate real operation which mainly means doing everything possible to avoid a collision (I think anyway). Note, shunting are NOT random collisions and can be fairly easily catered for (if anything in software development can be called easy).

I have been on a train that collided with a deer. We in the coaches hardly noticed it. But the rack got stuck under the dinning car and punctured the water tank, resulting in no dinning car service.
I've seen cab videos of car collisions and likewise, it hardly affects the train at all.

I can't ever remember colliding with a deer. The train just seems to run right through it. I'm not so sure collision is necessary, IMO, but just having this feature while driving a train is acceptable, as far as I'm concerned.
