Another idea might be to actually read the readme and see what the author of the route suggests... most people don't bother and wonder why things don't work..

As OR does not use the MSTS core files, only the route and stock for an activity, a full restore of MSTS is overkill for a very small problem.
A much better way to deal with it would be to make certain that the route actually works within MSTS first, then try ORTS. If it does not work in ORTS post the ORTS logfile for someone to look at.
