Hi all,

I have a very ankward issue with my open rails. When I connect to my friends server I can only see my own train and can't see the others. I can however send chat-messages which they can see. They do also see information when I disconnect from the server.

I have tried to re-installed it 4 times without any luck. I have no router and are using Windows firewall so it shouldn't have connection to anything like that. I have also tried to connect to 3 different friends but without no luck there either.

Anyone have a clue?

Thank you in advance.

Regards
Eric

What do you mean you can not see others. Do you see how many people connected in the F5 HUD?

When connected to a server I get the following status on F5 HUD: Multiplayer: 1 Player, 1 Train. When I disconnect from the server the friend hosting the server gets the following message: Information-quit.

Now we have tested. If I join first, everybody else get the same problem. If I join last the others can see eachother but for me its the same thing as before. This is how the status looks like on http://www.tsimserve...ServerInfo.html :

Have you tried disabling Windows firewall?

Yes, first thing I did when it didn't work.

I see the problem.
Your friends are using a system with locale set to Europe (i.e. numbers are something like "830,0951"), you are using a US system with numbers like "830.0951", thus you guys cannot communicate as each other cannot parse other's data.

We never thought of that before :-)

Okay, I guess you talk about the regional setting of my OS? I have changed to US-system due to Run8. Will tell my friends to change and see if it helps. Thank you.
