Thanks Steve, after I looked at that picture the more I disliked it so I had to touch up that area. We were there on Fathers Day, the whole family went. This is such a great idea for me as I'm modeling handicapped :wheelchair: The possibilities are endless, I like the rock idea :clapping: and I was thinking about single buildings like the Washington Monument etc. I would like to try.

Never thought I would ever see another one of those Modelbuilder stores.

It's Mt. McLoughlin, nearer Medford and Klamath Falls, Oregon. But... I changed my mind and decided that since I grew up with Mt. Rainier in my back yard and missed it. I'd swap mountains!

Wow...I wouldn't mind trying out that route, even though I'm already assuming it's private.

It is, although I do see good in Steve's decision not to release it. I doubt many other users would be able to photograph the route like he has, with only a few (like hiball3985 and Tim Muir) coming to mind.

I certainly appreciate the comments and comparing my screens to Tim's and hiball3985's shots.

My route has always had many things being tried out on it. It changes pretty often. There are no textures except night and summer. It uses an older issue of ScaleRail, I just can't get into redoing all my custom track textures. I suspect it would be a major challenge for most users to get it to work. It also has many very large textures in use.

Right now, I'm playing with all the possible uses of forest regions. I uploaded a few some time ago, I think cows and maybe antelope or elk. The last couple days have been devoted to more animals.

Should I do a tutorial on adding everything from trees, bushes, people, animals and mountains as forest regions? Here are most of the animals I've been doing. Each is a separate forest object. They won't be all jumbled together like that for long, I just needed to set them there with a person so that I could get the relative sizes right. There's stuff like this scattered all over the route in "test" phase.

I for one understand, my route is just practice/experiment and changes all the time also. You have been able to create some new methods to doing scenery that I'm sure would be helpful to some people..

Yikes!

I thought it was bad enough when I included a burned off area between Sumpter and Whitney! Can that Shay really outrun a forest fire?
