Excellent train set. Always nice to see a virtual representation of fictional trains in MSTS.
If I might make a suggestion; once the trainset is completed, you might consider modifying the locomotive and rollingstock to resemble a prototypical C62 and JNR Series 35. For whatever reason, there aren’t a lot of Japanese rolling stock from any era. So far only the files I have seen for Japanese railways have been a few Shinkansen and maglev trainsets, the Aso Boy, and a few repaints of varying qualities of the default Kiha 31.
This set as it is is probably a welcome sight for fans of Galaxy Express 999 and fans of Japanese railways in general and might spur interest in modeling the many various rolling stock and motive power that Japan has to offer.

Well, he wasn't really going for a protoypical look as he was reflecting the look of 999 from the self-titled series. It might need a little work, though I'm not too sure about it.

Oh, okay. I'm just happy to see anything for Japanese railways (prototypical or fictional) in MSTS.
If Dustin decides to just release the Galaxy Express 999 as is and not produce its realistic counterpart, it's okay by me. That's what willing suspension of disbelief is for.

I didn't make it. That Genset Foamer whose initials are apparently A.B. did.

That's exactly what spurred me to make this--so I could have a base to actually model the C62. I believe C62-3 is one of the class that is preserved (I actually used blueprints from the C62-3 site) so I plan to pay homage to the preserved example which I referenced.
As for "a little bit of work", I assume you're alluding to the eccentric crank, and some of the glaring texture issues with the valve gear? That's next up on my "patch" list, and why this model's in beta. This was my first "attempt at Walscherts valve gear, so it's a bit on the glitchy side.

Just a quick question. The passenger cars come with the download as well, right?
