File Submitter: Huecuvoe
File Submitted: 30 Aug 2012
File Category: 3D Modeling Utilites and Source Files
Shape File Manager v2.5 (SFM25) is intended to make relatively simple changes to MSTS shape files. It is NOT a substitute for dedicated 3D modeling software. Options include:
- Compress/Uncompress (calls FFEDITC_UNICODE.EXE).
- Edit shape (.S) file with configurable* Unicode editor.
- Edit shape definition (.SD) file with configurable* Unicode editor.
- Adjust the distance levels.
- Adjust the MIP Map levels.*
- Reverse an object (rotate 180 degrees about the Y axis).
- Rotate an object 90 degrees counterclockwise (CCW) or clockwise (CW) about the Y axis.*
- Scale an object.
- Shift an objects position relative to its origin (pivot point).
- Adjust the Texture Mode of the matrices.
(* features new to version 2.5)
Shape File Manager v2.5 (SFM25) is a revised version of Paul Gausden's (Decapod) SFM v2.4a.

Does this version overwrite the Gasden version, or can it exist simulantously?

It installs into a separate folder. I have both versions functioning on my computer.

SFM25 can be installed anywhere as long as it can find FFEDITC_UNICODE and the configured Unicode editor. Installation consists of simply copying the file SFM25.HTA to the location of your choice. As long as you haven't renamed the original SFM.HTA to SFM25.HTA there won't be a conflict. SFM25 and SFM do share the same registry settings, but that shouldn't be a problem unless for some reason, you also want to use different versions of FFEDITC_UNICODE.
